St. Louis Country Prosecutor, Wesley Bell reopened the Michael Brown Case after six years. Prosecutor Bell in accordance to the Former Prosecutor Bob McCulloch reached on the conclusion that he cannot press charges against Police officer Darren Wilson. The reason being lack of enough evidence. Prosecutor bell in a News Interview presented his updates on the review of the case after reviewing it for 5 months.

A white Ferguson Police officer, Darren Wilson shot Michael Brown on August 9, 2014. Darren Wilson states that brown was violent and was charging towards him even after he fired gunshots. They had physical feuds near Wilson’s SUV. He suspected brown of stealing cigarillos from a nearby store. Some witnesses though unreliable claim that Brown was trying to runaway from Wilson. He tried to surrender by raising his hands. Brown was shot six times. This case of Michael Brown raised of protests and questions against America’s justice system and its still prevailing difference towards one’s colour and race.

The case was strongly in favor of Wilson. The most credible sources testified in supporting Wilson crediting to the fact that Brown charged violently towards Wilson. Six years later, all the evidences point towards Brown, suspecting him of convenience store robbery.. As well as accusing of assaulting the police officer Brown.

Michael Brown’s parents and several Human Rights Activists had several expectations from Wesley Bell, country’s first Black Prosecutor. After reviewing the case for five months, he could not strike down the previous judgement of the justice department due to lack of evidence. Bell said,

” The question for this office was a simple one,could we prove beyond a reasonable doubt that when Darren Wilson shot Michael Brown he committed murder or manslaughter under the Missouri Law? After an independent and in-depth review of the evidences, we cannot prove that he did”.
