Michael Louis Golic Sr., to end his radio show, ‘Golic and Wingo’ which has been on air since 2017. Golic Sr. was a former National Football League defensive lineman. He hosted the show with his son Michael Louis Golic Jr. and Trey Wingo. ESPN announced the show going off the ESPN Radio with its last episode on July 31st, 2020.
The Origin
The show replaced, ‘Mike and Mike’ which aired for almost 18 years. Mike Golic and Mike Greenberg hosted the show. Greenberg left the show after reported bitterness between the co-hosts, on November 17, 2017. Later he starred in a star show on ESPN called ‘Get UP’. ESPN soon announced the show ‘Golic and Winko’.
A Tribute
The news has saddened the fans all across. Many say the show had become a part of their every day early mornings and with the show being gone, there will always remain an unfulfilled void. The hashtag, ‘Thank you Golic’ has been trending on Twitter as a tribute. The last hour of the last episode of the show will have Golic’s entire family as a vote of thanks. Mike Greenberg honoured his former partner on Wednesday’s episode of Get up. “He did not just open a door for others, he built one’, said Goldberg.

What’s next?
Keyshawn Johnson, Jay Williams and Zubin Mehenti’s show will replace , Golic and Wingo, on the ESPN radio. However, the network will not let go of Golic and he will be analysing the college Football games.
