NORTHERN RAILWAYS has invited applications for Northern Railway Recruitment 2020 for the post of Senior Resident at Northern Railways Central Hospital , New Delhi. This notification was released on MAY 28, 2020. The candidates who are selected will work under the SENIOR RESIDENCY SCHEME .
ABOUT SENIOR RESIDENT.
In India a Resident is synonymous with a Resident Doctor. A Resident Doctor is someone who already has a basic medical graduate degree and is now working for a Post Graduate Degree. One has to work as a Resident Doctor for 3 years before getting a specialization in the chosen branch.
These doctors are referred to as “RESIDENTS” because they actually live in the hospital campus and should be available for 24 hours in a day. Their life is tough.
CRITERION FOR APPLICATION FOR NORTHERN RAILWAY RECRUITMENT 2020:
NUMBER OF VACANCIES IN NORTHERN RAILWAYS.
There is a total of 22 vacancies for Senior Residents. These posts are divided among various Speciality as follows:
- MEDICINE– 11 posts
- SURGERY – 2 posts
- PEDIATRICS– 3 posts
- ANESTHESIA – 2 posts
- RADIOLOGY– 2 posts
- OBSTETRICS AND GYNECOLOGY – 2 posts
WHAT IS THE ELIGIBILITY CRITERION FOR NORTHERN RAILWAY RECRUITMENT 2020?
For recruitment to the Northern Railways , the students must ensure that they fulfill the following educational criterion:
- Candidates who are applying must have a Post Graduate Degree recognised by MCI/NBE in the concerned speciality.
- The candidates should have a Post Graduate Diploma recognized by MCI in the concerned speciality.
- The candidates should complete their Post Graduation (Degree or Diploma) before the date of the interview.
- For SR selection in all specialities , If candidates with PG qualification are not available in a particular specialty, candidates without having PG qualification but having at least three years experience after MBBS, can be considered for a period of one year only.
- The candidates who are applying must have a valid registration with the Medical Council of India/ Delhi Medical Council/ State Medical Council.
- Candidates who are not registered with the Delhi Medical Council will have to apply for registration , before joining. The candidates should submit the proof of registration at the time of joining.
WHAT IS THE CRITERION FOR AGE FOR THOSE APPLYING?
Here’s the age limit for those applying for Indian Railways job for Senior Residents:
- GENERAL/UR– 37 years
- OBC – 40 years
- SC/ST – 42 years
WHAT IS THE SALARY OF SENIOR RESIDENT WHEN RECRUITED IN NORTHERN RAILWAYS?
All those selected as senior residents will get a salary of up to RS 2,08,700. The selected candidates will also get allowances , as admissible.
HOW CAN THE CANDIDATES APPLY FOR NORTHERN RAILWAY RECRUITMENT 2020?
Interested and Eligible candidates for northern railway recruitment 2020 have to send in their application forms for engagement to the post of Senior Resident under the Senior Residency Scheme at Northern Railways Central Hospital , New Delhi. The candidates should fill the applications in the prescribed format on an A-4 size paper with all the requisite enclosures.
According to the official notification for northern railway recruitment 2020 , the candidates should report with the duly filled and signed application forms along with the self-attested copies of all the requisite documents for the WALK-IN INTERVIEW. The Walk-in Interview are on the 10th of June.
The official notification for northern railway recruitment 2020 also read that the candidates have to attach self-attested certificates along with the Application. The candidates should have their original certificates, publications with them at the time of the interview for verification . The candidates should submit these before the interview committee before the selection process begins.
For the candidates selected by northern railway recruitment 2020 to work as Senior Residents , the initial appointment will be for a year only . This appointment would be extendable to a total maximum period of three years in the form of subsequent two annual extensions. This extension is subject to satisfactory work , conduct and performance.
NORTHERN RAILWAY CENTRAL HOSPITAL.
Northern Railway Central Hospital has 430 beds which provides comprehensive health care to to right from neonates to elderly patients . The hospital has round the clock functional 20 bedded emergency department with equipments to deal with all sort of medical and surgical emergencies . Above all the hospital has 4 well-equipped ambulances to transport patients during emergencies. The Northern Railway Recruitment 2020 is for recruitment to these hospitals.
Hospitals have all major specialities like Medicine, Surgery, Orthopedics and Physiotherapy, Obstetrics and Gynecology, ENT , Pediatrics , Opthalmology and Anesthesia . In addition ,there also exists a round the clock functional and well-equipped lab and Blood Bank. An AYUSH Centre with facilities of consultation with Ayurvedic , Homeopathic, Yoga , Unani and Siddha doctors are available.
