Grease is a critically acclaimed movie and has high ratings on google and other movie reviews platforms. But many to date thinks that this movie is sexist and racist at the same time. No one had paid attention to details but backlash started once BBC aired Grease in the U.K.  viewers started complaining about all issues that we are going through nowadays like homophobia, misogyny, racism, etc in movies. The main reason could be it is based on the 1950s Greaser subculture.

In this interview, she also revealed that at first, she was not very sure about playing 15 years old when she was 28 in reality. But the studio sent John Travolta and persuaded her.
