The new OnePlus launcher update is set to bring a ton of new features for its users. OnePlus Scout is one such addition. The Scout feature, that will soon be available in India, will be user-interface a lot easier.

Although OnePlus launched the new OxygenOS 11 on August 10, the OnePlus phones are yet to receive a stable update.

While announcing its launch, CEO Pete Lauspoke of many new features that were to accompany this update. However, he did not speak of the expected features in detail. One such feature is the Scout Unified Search Feature in OnePlus launcher update.
Scout Unified Search Feature
The OnePlus Scout feature is like an advanced search feature for the OnePlus users in India. It will let users search contacts, files, music and literally anything in the device directly from the search bar. And it is not just limited to searching on your phone. You can also lookup restaurants, parks and other places near you using this search feature. You can also lookup mathematical problems and get some help in getting them done, along with some checking on weather updates.

The Scout feature also lets you customize your search results based on your wants. You can also filter search references if and when you want.
The Scout feature for users in India
The OnePlus users in India can avail this feature by updating to v4.7.2_200818175549 of the OnePlus launcher update. Once you are done installing the update, you will see a set-up screen for using the Scout Unified Search feature. Click on the check-box to agree to the terms of use and Privacy Policy. You will then see a list of requirements that the feature needs to access to run on your device. Once to agree to those required permissions, you can search for anything from a unified search bar.
