Oppo, the brand well known for its mobiles, made its debut with smartwatches last March, in China. It was not available in other countries. Oppo had been planning the global debut of the Oppo Watch for quite some time now. The brand recently bagged certification from BIS(National Standard Body of India) an Indian agency. It also certified through FCC, suggesting its launch in the US and global markets. It is expected to launch in India alongside the Reno 4 Pro smartphone.

Ever since its release in China, the design sparked debates on its resemblance to the Apple Watch. There are two models of the Oppo Watch available in China. The 46mm model and 41mm model with subtle differences in specifications. The report does not confirm whether both variants will be launched in India.
Features and Specifications
The smartwatch features a 1.91-inch AMOLED displaying a squarish dial, with 402 x 476 pixels resolution. It is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon Wear 2500 SoC, a two-year-old processor. Oppo watch features 1GB of RAM and 8GB of internal storage. Unlike other smartwatches available, Oppo Watch comes with the ColorOS tweaked and optimized for smartwatches. It has an eSIM support that provides cellular connectivity to take calls,2.4GHz Wi-Fi b/g/n, and Bluetooth v4.2.
Other functions include an ECG sensor, blood oxygen level monitoring, wireless charging, and 3ATM water resistance (41mm model)up to 5ATM water resistance(for 46mm model). The Oppo Watch also has a 430mAh battery and supports wireless charging. Frames come in stainless steel and aluminum.
There is no concrete date for the launch, but most likely it will take place this month.
