RedmiBook Air 13 launched in China

Xiaomi has released yet another addition to the laptop industry. RedmiBook Air 13 launched with 10th-generation Intel Core i5 Processor and 41Wh battery is Xiaomi’s latest entrant in Air series.

Redmi’s latest addition in the laptop market in 2020 comes in the form of RedmiBok Air 13. Designed as a thin and light notebook, RedmiBook Air 13 is currently available for pre-orders in China. It weighs just around 1.05 kg and measures only 12.99 mm. Plus, it does not have a webcam.

Features

Xiaomi’s new laptop comes with a pre-installed Windows 10. It offers a 13.3-inch screen display and a picture resolution of 2560×1600 pixels with a 16:10 aspect ratio. The screen brightness rises to 300 nits and the screen supports 100% coverage of sRGB colour space. The screen also supports DC dimming. The notebook is available in two variants- 8GB+512GB SSD and 16GB+512GB SSD.

RedmiBook Air 13 runs on 10th-generation Intel Core i5 processor with a 4.5 GHz and comes with a 41Whh battery. Xiaomi claims that this battery can run up to 8 hours, once fully charged. It has has a bunch of connectivity options- Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth v5.0, two USB Type-C ports and a 3.5mm headphone jack. The brand sports copper cooling feature for heat dissipation and has dual exports for better airflow.

Although there are two variants, RedmiBook Air 13 comes in single silver colour.

Price and Availability

The 8GB+512GB variant comes at a price of CNY 4,699 (around Rs 50,600). The 16GB+512GB variant comes at a price of CNY 5,199 (around RS. 56,000).

The RedmiBook Air 13 is up for pre-orders in China and will be live for sale beginning from August 17. But as of now, Xiaomi has not revealed any details about the international availability of this laptop. Many are speculating that it may not make it to the Indian market. However, rumours have it that Xiaomi might launch the same in India at a much lesser price, later this year.
