Development of the game.

Hopoo Games was working on the sequel Risk of Rain 2. The follow up was to keep up the same core loop as the first game. While the game was still at the initial stage of growth and advancement. The other features probably change, Hopoo confirmed that they were developing and changing the game from 2D to 3D, as the 3D option provided a better, much deeper design spaces and more potential for cool gameplay, as well as more ways to easily express themselves.

Hopoo started with a 2D-based model. The extension and process for this was stimulated by Risk of Rain fan art that presented various objects, the player collected shown on the character, and Hopoo wanted to use this path for the follow up, but the 2D path did not give them plenty of visible and optic scope and area to work with. However, the desire to display collected items was difficult using 2D and hence, they felt it was better to move the game fully to 3D, with the changes being relatively quick to complete.

The sequel brought back most of the characters and monsters from the first game, while others making their debit. Hopoo further explained that some monsters, were difficult to avoid in the original game due to their size which could easily be cleared out with the added space of 3D, so they added additional attacks for these supernatural beasts to make them more arduous and hard. The monsters sport a ranged attack, such as the Lemurians fireball and Golems lazer. The multiplayer mode adds advancements and improvements, using the Steam peer-to-peer connected ness. Matchmaking allows open games and personal matches and split-screen play are also available. It was released earlier, to construct the game’s centre and acquire response.
