The Selection Process for Group D Posts in RRB Kolkata (RRC CEN 01/2019):
The group D posts have a different pattern of examination from the rest of the posts. However, the rounds are similar:
- The selection process begins with a Computer Based Test (CBT). In this test, the candidates have to answer Multiple Choice Questions (MCQ).
- There will be different sections, which will carry some weightage.
- The second round is the Physical Efficiency Test (PET). In this round, there will be a medical check of the candidates who were able to qualify in the 1st round (CBT), will have to undergo this round.
- On the other hand, after the PET result declaration, the candidates who pass the test will have to get their documents verified. Document Verification (DV) will take place in a centre. The candidates can download their admit cards when they are available on the official website.

The Selection Process for NTPC Posts in RRB Kolkata (RRB CEN 01/2019):
The Selection of NTPC candidates happen in 4 levels:
- The 1st round is the Computer Based Test I (CBT I). In this round, the candidates will have to answer questions from different subjects. The paper will be Multiple Choice Question (MC) based.
- The applicants need to qualify in CBT I to go to the next round. The second round is Computer Based Test II (CBT II). This is similar to the first round of CBT but the level is tougher.
- On the other hand, the third round is the Skill Test round. In this round, the candidates have to undergo tests of skills on the basis of the trades their application was for.
- Finally, in the last round, the applicants have to undergo Document Verification (DV). All the documents should be authentic. Besides, the credentials should match the once written in the application form.
