For those not aware, the ‘Shahs of Sunset’ trailer for season 9 has arrived. The hit TV show is expected to arrive on Sunday, May 16th at 8/7c, according to BravoTV.
The cast of the series, Reza Farahan, Mercedes “MJ” Javid, Mike Shouhed, Golnesa “GG” Gharachedaghi, Destiney Rose, and Nema Vand, will be returning for its ninth season along with a new friend and cast member London Laed. She will be introduced to the group by MJ and will be working as a life coach.
For those that need a recap, the “Shah’s of Sunset” has been on the air since March 2012 that centers around a group of Persian Americans that live in Beverly Hills trying to cope with their social, professional and routine lives.
This upcoming season will be kicking off a lighter note and a more hopeful place for Reza and MJ as they are both committed to getting their longtime friendship back on the right track after their falling out last season. GG has even claimed that she is “getting along with everybody,” as she addresses in the Season 9 trailer, while MJ remarks, “When did Golnesa become the voice of reason?” Both MJ and GG seem to have put their past conflict on pause with the help of an adorable playdate with both of their sons, according to the trailer.
However, as the “Shahs of Sunset” cast looks to squash old beefs, it seems that new ones will be ignited in the fabric of the television series. Many of the cast members will find themselves at odds with each other throughout the run of the season, including Mike whose relationship with Paulina Ben-Cohen shall be put to the test in the forthcoming season.
