Following Bhool Bhulaiya 2, Shehzada may have been Kartik Aaryan’s next big box office hit. That was impossible. Furthermore, it isn’t because Hindi-speaking customers no longer favor remakes. How do we account for Drishyam 2’s phenomenal success if such were the case?
The latest Hindi film, Shehzada, has its official release on February 17, 2023. The action-drama Shehzada movie has a running time of approximately 2 hours and 25 minutes. This is an official remake of 2020 hit Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo, which starred Allu Arjun as an icon.

Shedzada Movie Release Postponed
No, the stars are not to blame—it’s a marketing strategy. First off, the last-minute decision to postpone the release by a week seriously hurt Shehzada’s chances at the box office.
Shehzada found herself in a fight with a global brand all of a sudden. Cheetee ne haathi ko hara diya, Ant-Man.
Buy One Get One Free
Second, some smart Shehzada’s marketing team employees chose to provide a free ticket to everybody who bought one. The buy-one-get-one-free promotion is always a failure. Consumers become skeptical as a result.
Zaroor kuch gadbad hai (Something smells fishy) …
Thirdly, most television shows were postponed for Friday. In no way should you act in that way. If it’s not Yash Raj or Disney+Hotstar, which by the policy don’t let critics see their movies before opening day, it demonstrates a lack of trust in your own product.
The fourth and most damaging aspect that worked against Shehzada was that director Rohit Dhawan was viewed as carrying on the longstanding family tradition started by his father David Dhawan.
In David Dhawan’s Judwaa, Salman Khan scored a major baby-swapping hit. Kartik Aaryan was the next to strike the Bhai notes at this point. If you missed the Junior’s Sal(lu)te, Kartik has kindly covered Salman’s Character Dheela song from Ready.
Remake of Telugu Movie
In Shehzada, Salman references appear more frequently than Allu Arjun references. Shehzada is the remake of Allu Arjun’s Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo, released soon before the COVID outbreak, as everyone knows by this point.
The Shehzada movie’s budget hasn’t been revealed by the producers, although it may be as much as 48 to 50 crores.
Overall, Shehzada is only worth seeing once if you haven’t seen the original movie; otherwise, you’ll be let down.
The film has little else to offer; watch it only for Kartik Aryan and a few comedic moments.
Kartik Aaryan becomes a one-man show throughout the entertaining circus of craziness. In addition to giving his father Valamiki (Paresh Rawal) tit for tat, he sings, dances, and acts silly.
A good scene occurs towards the end of the movie, right before the character receives Dheela, when Kartik purchases a brand-new scooter for his scheming father (who is no longer his dad, long story). Together, they ride off into the night. Hopefully in quest of a future remake that is more carefully thought out.
