The Rising of the Shield Hero
It is a Japanese light novel series that was written by Aneko Yusagi. It was originally published as a web novel in novel site Shōsetsuka ni Narō.
Since then the series has been published by Media Factory featuring illustrations by Seira Minami. 22 volumes had been published by June 2019 alone.
It was originally ran between 2012 – 2015, as the light novel ran from August 22, 2013 to present and the Manga ran from
February 5, 2014 to present. With the Anime television serious originally running from January 9, 2019 to June 26, 2019.

Plot: shield hero season 2
An easy going Japanese youth by the name of Naofumi Iwatani was somehow summoned into a parallel world along with 3 other young men that belonged to a parallel universe to become Cardinal Hereos of the world and fight Waves which are monsters of other inter dimensional origins.
The heroes each have their own equipment when they are summoned. Naofumi just so happened to of received the legendary shield which is the sole defensive equipment all while other heroes received anything from a sword, spear, bow and weapons meant for attack.
Naofumi didn’t have the support of the kingdom or other strong allies like the other heroes as his fate gets much worse after his companion which is later discovered to be the kingdoms princess betrays him and steals all of his belongings and leaves him devoid of any assistance or supplies after she falsely accused him of sexually assaulting her.
The Rising Of The Shield Hero Season 2 Release Date
There are reports surfacing with an expectation that The rising of the shield hero season 2 will be released sometime in the year 2020. Though, the official date for the season premier has yet to be announced but was confirmed in September 2019 that the show would be extended to include an additional 2 more seasons.
Considering that Naofumi is the main protagonist of the series in: The Rising of the Shield Hero, reports suggest Naofumi will be returning in the upcoming series. As we know he was summoned to another world serving as the Shield Hero one of the Four Legendary Heroes.
Theories on The rising Shield Hero season 2
In the new season, there are reports circulating that we might expect to see that the trio – which includes the protagonist Naofumi, Raphtalia, and Filo are about to get new companions and that they will also encounter a possible new enemy.

Rising of The Shield Hero Season 2: What to Expect
As there have been 25 volumes held by the novel series. Reports suggest that Raphthalia won’t be harmed because it is his favorite, as Producer Junichiro Tamura has said.

No trailer has been released for the second season as of yet. Though, one may become available after it goes into production.
