Speculations were going on for many days now on whether the KARNATAKA SSLC EXAM 2020 would take place or not. Lakhs of students were awaiting the official confirmation. There was a lot of confusion and the students were stuck. They were unable to decide what to do. Giving rest to all the rumours, Education Minister Suresh Kumar confirmed that the exam will take place.
ANNOUNCEMENTS REGARDING THE CONDUCT OF THE SSLC EXAM 2020?
8.5 Lakh students have to appear for the SSLC Exam 2020. The state of Karnataka conducts this exam for the students of Class 10th in Karnataka. Tamil Nadu, Telangana and Puducherry have decided to promote all class 10th students without taking the exam. Karnataka, on the other hand, will take the SSLC Exam 2020 according to the government guidelines.
“The Government will decide on the re-opening of schools after August. Class X board exams will be on June 25 as per the recent schedule announced by the state government”. Minister for Primary and Secondary Education S Suresh Kumar said on Tuesday.
The Human Resource Ministry and The Ministry of Home Affairs have agreed for the conduct of the SSLC Exam 2020. Karnataka has effectively managed to contain the spread of the coronavirus given its huge population. Hence the decision to conduct the SSCL Exam.
WHAT PRECAUTIONS WILL THE GOVERNMENT TAKE FOR THE CONDUCT OF SSLC EXAM 2020?
Given the current scenario, conducting the exams is a risk. Parents and Students are constantly demanding the cancellation of the SSLC Exam in Karnataka. The state government has assured that they would ensure the safety of all the students.
The State Education Minister released the official statement.“We have consulted all concerned parties before taking this decision. Students’ safety is of utmost importance. I have travelled all across the state and visited all the districts personally to ensure all safety precautions are ensured. Health Department is extending all help to us.”
- The Administration will ensure that the students sanitize themselves before entering the exam Center.
- The Administration will give masks to all the students in the Examination Hall.
- The administration will also take care of the social distancing norms.
According to the Official Announcement, the Exam will take place from 25th June onwards. The Minister also appealed to not create any false rumours regarding the cancellation of the exam. He advised the students to prepare diligently because the exam will surely take place.
RE-OPENING OF SCHOOLS IN KARNATAKA: UPDATE
The Minister for Primary and Secondary Education said that there are no plans yet to re-open the schools given the current situation. In the future, whenever schools will re-open, they would in a phased manner.
“At the most, we may decide after August in this regard (about opening the schools). In our cabinet meeting too, we shall discuss it and then take a call.” The Minister made these announcements.
