Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) wins the race of top ranking. In the field of engineering, IITs are shining. On 11 June 2020 Ramesh Pokhriyal ‘Nishank’ announced the Indian Ranking 2020. Moreover, every annual rank of the Institutes is declared in April.

However, the year 2020 got disturbed due to coronavirus. So, the list of top institutes declared later. The Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD) declared National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF).

First Rank: Indian Institute of Technology Madras, Chennai, Tamil Nadu

Scoring:89.93

Second Rank: Indian Institute of Technology Delhi, New Delhi, Delhi

Scoring: 88.08

Third Rank: Indian Institute of Technology Bombay, Mumbai, Maharashtra

Scoring: 85.08

Fourth Rank: Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur, Kanpur, Uttar Pradesh

Scoring: 82.18

IIT Madras, New Delhi, Bombay always are on the top list. Hence, consistency is appreciable. The overall ranking list also shows the pattern where the top 7 are IITs only. Although, it is very difficult to clear the exam of IIT. A lot of dedication required for this. Also, students need to learn and gain experience.

Meanwhile, the students are studying at school. They also prepare for IIT-JEE exam. We can conclude that students are highly devoted to taking admission in IIT.

Ramesh Pokhriyal ‘Nishank’ also said that he will work on Indian Institutes more. Rather than ranking them internationally. Furthermore, this will help in the growth and building of good infrastructure. IITs are considered to be the best for engineering. Therefore, they always gathered the top 10 positions. Hence, this is the reason why students madly prepare for IIT-JEE.

Hence, in upcoming years IIT will remain on top positions. Therefore, they are the reason for the growth of IT companies in India. Undoubtedly, the engineers are well educated and trained.
