Translator Recruitment 2020 in Lok Sabha

Translator Recruitment 2020: The Branch of Lok Sabha Secretariat invited applicants for translator recruitment. Translators are the one who translates English speeches into Hindi in Lok Sabha and vice-versa. The applications for recruitment of translator should be applied before 27th July 2020. The payment for the translator post is Level 8 (Rs. 47,600 – 1,51,100) in the Pay Matrix. The candidates must be a student of both Hindi and English language. The eligible and interested candidates can apply online for Lok Sabha Translator recruitment. Therefore, through an E-mail process [email protected].

Moreover, Candidates will be recruited only after two exams. One is preliminary and other is main. The candidates who will qualify the preliminary exam. They will be allowed to give the main exam. After the main exam, the selection procedure will go on.

Eligibility Criteria for Translator Recruitment

Upper Age Limit:

1. The candidates must be of 27 years.

2. If the candidates are 29 years of age then he/she must have prescribed translation work experience of 2 years.

Qualifications:

1. Master degree in Hindi or English.

2. Master degree in any discipline with Hindi or English.

3.Diploma/Certificate course in translation from Hindi to English and vice-versa from any University/Institute recognised by the government.

OR

2 years of experience of translation work from Hindi to English and vice-versa in Central/State Government offices or State Legislature Secretariat or Central/ State Public Sector undertakings/ Autonomous Bodies/Supreme Court of India/High Court.

Approximately, there are 47 posts in translator recruitment.

These 47 vacancies are distributed in categories:

Scheduled caste (SC): 03

Scheduled Tribes (ST): 05

Other Backward Classes (OBC): 17

Un-Reserved (UR): 13

Economically Weaker Section (EWS): 09

Examination Pattern

  1. Preliminary Exam

There will be three parts and subjects:

Part (a) General Knowledge and Current Affairs

Part (b) General English

Part (c) General Hindi

( 50 multiple choice objective type questions in each part)

Each part carries 50 Marks. The time allowed is 75 minutes.

  1. Main Exam

Candidates who qualified preliminary exam. Only they are eligible to give the main exam.

There will be two papers:

Paper 1

Part (a) Translation from English to Hindi

Part (b) Translation from Hindi to English

Each part carries 75 marks. The time allowed is 2 hours.

Paper 2

Part (a) English Essay, Precis, Grammar*

Part (b) Hindi Essay, Precis, Grammar*

Each part carries 50 marks. The time allowed is 3 hours.

*Essay (25 marks), Precis (15 marks), Grammar (10 marks) *

The eligibility must be fulfilled and all the norms must be strictly followed.
