The All India Institutes of Medical Sciences conducted the PG entrance exam in June. And the Post Graduate entrance exam date was June 11, 2020. The AIIMS PG Result 2020 is finally out on their website. The notification about the release of results is available on the AIIMS home page.
The authorities have uploaded the AIIMS PG Result of July 2020 in PDF Format. But the list does not consist the roll number of all the qualifying candidates. It only consists of the list of all the candidates who are eligible for counselling. But the allocation of the eligible students will be subject wise. The number of candidates displayed in the rank list is eight times the number of seat vacancies. The list is not Roll number wise, but Merit wise.
The PG entrance exam was taking place in 7 AIIMS institutes. These were the institutes in New Delhi, Bhubaneswar, Bhopal, Jodhpur, Patna, Nagpur, Rishikesh and Raipur. The number of candidates who appeared for the exam was more than 33,000. But because of the COVID 19 pandemic, this time the institutes took precautions. And they made sure to follow all the safety guidelines issued by the government. These measures were to ensure the health and safety of the candidates.
AIIMS PG RESULT 2020 AND VACANCIES
Among the 33,000 students that appeared for the examination, 4545 of them have qualified the AIIMS PG 2020 Examination. And this means that these candidates have scored more than fifty percentile in the exam.
The AIIMS PG Entrance exam is indeed one of the most reputed and sought after dental and medical entrance exams across the nation. Because of this, thousands of candidates appear for the entrance exam every year. But the total number of available seats for the 2020 academic session is 643. The courses offered include MS, MD, MDS, DM, fellowship, MSc and MC.
According to the AIIMS PG RESULT 2020 PDF, the AIR (All India Rank) 1 candidate has secured 100 percentile. And following that, 269 applicants have scored 99 percentile.

ONLINE ALLOCATION AND CUTOFFS
The mock round of online subject-wise allocation or counselling will begin from Sunday, June 21, 2020. And multiple rounds will be held.
AIIMS PG 2020 Cut Off Percentile for MD, MS, DM and MCh:
– Unreserved: 91.648
– OBC: 80.583
– Economically Weaker Sections (EWS): 69.113
– SC: 53.026
– ST: 50.486
AIIMS PG 2020 Cut Off Percentile for MDS:
– Unreserved: 94.544
– EWS: 84.869
– OBC: 96.515
– SC: 78.313
– ST: 62.036
HOW TO CHECK AIIMS PG RESULT 2020
1. Visit the official site of AIIMS exams, mentioned above.
2. There will be a tab named ‘RESULT OF AIIMS-PG ENTRANCE EXAMINATION FOR JULY-2020 SESSION HELD ON 11-06-2020’. And you will find the tab on the right-hand side of the homepage. Click on it.
3. You will automatically get redirected to a PDF file, which consists of the candidate’s roll number, All India Rank and percentile achieved.
4. You can check for your roll number in the list by using the search option.
The rest of the results will be out on or after June 19, 2020. Candidates can check their results by following these steps:
1. Visit the official website of https://www.aiimsexams.org/
2. Then click on the academic tab.
3. Enter your login credentials and submit it to view your result.
VARIOUS BRANCHES OF AIIMS
The All India Institutes of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) are a group of autonomous government medical institutes of higher education. Because of an Act of Parliament, the government declared these institutes to be Institutes of National Importance.
AIIMS Delhi was the first institute that was founded in this category. It was established in 1956. After that, AIIMS declared 22 more such institutes. But out of these, only 15 institutes are operational currently. And the authorities expect that 8 more institutes will become operational by 2025.
After AIIMS New Delhi, the next few institutes were established in 2012. These were:
– Madhya Pradesh: AIIMS Bhopal
– Odisha: AIIMS Bhubaneswar
– Rajasthan: AIIMS Jodhpur
– Bihar: AIIMS Patna
– Chhattisgarh: AIIMS Raipur
– Uttarakhand: AIIMS Rishikesh
In 2013, the authorities established AIIMS Raebareli. Followed by the establishment of AIIMS Mangalagiri and AIIMS Nagpur.
Then in 2019, they established the following institutes:
– Uttar Pradesh: AIIMS Gorakhpur
– Punjab: AIIMS Bhatinda
– Telangana: AIIMS Bibinagar
– West Bengal: AIIMS Kalyani
– Jharkhand: AIIMS Deoghar
