UPSC CAPF Recruitment 2020 – Latest Updates

 

UPSC CAPF Recruitment 2020: UPSC CAPF (Central Armed Police Forces) refers to uniform nomenclature of 7 security forces. Theirrole is to defend national interest mainly against internal threats. They are :-
-> Assam Rifles (AR)
-> Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF)
-> Border Security Force (CISF)
-> Nationality Security Guard (NSG)
-> Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP)
-> Sahastra Seema Bal (SSB)

Recruitment conducts mainly in three modes. They are :-

• Gazetted Officers: CAPF officers gets recruitment via CAPF Examination by UPSC.
• Subordinate Officers: Sub Inspectors gets recruitments through exam by DASOs.
• Constables: Constables gets jobs wrt exam by Staff Selection Commission.

UPSC Notifications 2020 :

UPSC releases UPSC CAPF Recruitment 2020 Application Form for CAPF Exam on August 18, 2020. They indroduce recruitments for a total of 209 vacancies. Candidates awaiting UPSC CAPF Notification 2020 can now fill the form. Last date to submit online form is September 7, 2020.

NOTE : Aspirants should note that no. of vacancies mentioned is liable to alteration. Reservation are given as er policy of Govt. 10% vacacies are earmarked for ex-servicemen. Incase, these vacancies are unfilled then it shall get fill by non exservicemen category.

 Eligibility Criteria :

1.Nationality :

No person who is not a citizen of India is not eligible. Except it is signifed i writig or employed under the rules.

Sex : Both male and female are eligible for appointement of the post.

2. Educational Qualification :

As part of UPSC CAPF Eligibility, they must have Bachelor’s degree from govt. recognized university. The uiversity shoul be incorporated by an Act in India.

Other requirement by Act or declares to be deemed as University under Section-3.

Those students who appeared in any qualifcation exam are also eligible.

3. Age Limits : 

The candidat must acquire minimum age of 20 years. The upper age limit is 25 years. However, upper age limit can be relaxed for candidates belonging SC/ST.

Upto max. of 3 years for candidates belongig to OBC can be relaxed.

The applicant should be Indian who wishes to apply. Both male and female can apply for the same.

The students who are once selcted through exam cannot apply for the same.

UPSC CAPF Application Procedure :

• Interested candidateswho satisfy eligibility can apply oline for UPSC CAPF via offiial website.
• The online UPSC CAPF form comprises of 2 stages.
• Students shall scan their photograph and signature prior filling up form.
• The photograph and signature must be in .jpg format. The file should not exceed 40 KB and must not be less than 3 KB in size.
• Aspirants must avoid multiple applications.
• There is no option for withdrawl of form of UPSC CAPF.

UPSC CAPF Application Fee :

All eligible candidates should pay the fees. The application fee is INR 200. This can be deposited in any branch of SBI by cash or by net banking. Candidates belonging SC/ST gets exemption from paying application fee. Female candiates also gets an exemption from application fee.

UPSC CAPF Examination Centre :

The written exam for UPSC CAPF conducts in the below-listed centres. The allotment of test centres on the basis on “first-apply-first-apply”. The centres are :-
