The Wasteland 3 launch was a successful event on August 28. The role-playing game can now be accessed from Xbox One and also via PC. The Linux version is yet to arrive in a few days.
About Wasteland 3
Wasteland 3 is a sequel to the famous role-playing game Wasteland series. The first game of the series initially came out in 1988 but garnered success only after a crowdfunding session back in 2012. It was then that inXile Entertainment took over the task of development of the series. The makers released its sequel Wasteland 2, in 2014.
The folks at inXile Entertainment had announced Wasteland 3 being in the works long before in 2016. They had earlier speculated to release the game in 2019 on Xbox, PlayStation 4, Microsoft and even Linux. But due to some unforeseen reasons, the developers had to delay the launch of Wasteland 3. Also, the developers have delayed Linux supported version until some time.
Interested players can download the game for their PCs from the Microsoft Store.
Plot
The game is set in the chills of Colorado, where only one member of a Ranger Squad survives. Wasteland 3 is particularly a team game, where players need to work together to navigate through Colorado. They need to navigate gangs, make decisions and stack up loots. There are also customizable difficulty levels in the game that the players can choose according to their need.
Players can either find teammates on the Internet and can even invite their friends for a game. However, they need to keep in mind that the game does not allow crossplay across devices. That is, if you want to play with a friend, you need to ensure that both of it is accessing it with the same device. It does not allow one user to play with Xbox while the other is using a PlayStation and vice-versa.
Wasteland 3 launch
The developers have already released Wasteland 3 for Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and Microsoft users on August 28. Linux users will, however, have to wait to play the game as it is not yet available for them.
