Season 3: Expected release date

Because of two continuous seasons within a span of one year, fans anticipated the early release of the third season. However, the third season never aired. The series in the manga format has around 150 chapters. And the anime series covered two seasons which came up to 90 chapters. This gives fans a slight hope for season 3. And although the series is yet to be renewed, Season 3 is rumored to pick up the story again from Volume 11 Chapter 90. If this rumor serves to be true, you can expect the anime series to drop early this year or sometime during fall. However, it is also possible that instead of We Never Learn Season 3, the fans might be seeing some OVA episodes of the franchise. With two OVA’s released last year, fans might get to see more of such episodes instead of a full-length series.

What is the Plot of the series?

The series follows the life of an ambitious student, Nariyuki Yuiga. A senior high school student attending Inchinose Academy. His dream is to get a prestigious scholarship that will cover his college tuition fees. To secure this university scholarship, he is obliged to tutor three female geniuses in different subjects. The anime We Never Learn as compared to the manga

The series is based on Bokutachi was Benkyou ga Dekinai manga by writer and illustrator Taishi Tsutsui. Manga fans most normally enjoy anime’s that remain faithful to the source material. But unfortunately, the Bokuben anime strays from its very source material. Due to constraints, it is also not unusual to see individual chapters being cut from the anime version. Chapters are compressed to focus on critical points. The most significant criticism about the Bokuben anime is how the characters were barely allowed for personal development to maintain specific pacing. And although the second season slowed down its pace, it still missed out on some chapters. So in conclusion, for manga lovers and fans of the anime, you should definitely go pick up the manga to read what you missed.
