Besides, in his junior high school, he has an excellent record in basketball. Thus, this inspired him to continue playing basketball in Senior high school. However, it wasn’t an easy journey as he enters Kuzuryu High School.
Before entering high school, Sora made a promise to his mother. That is to dominate his first high school tournament. But, when he joined the basketball club at Kuzuryu High School, he found out that the team is a group of punks. And they are unmotivated players. Moreover, they didn’t take him seriously because of his height. They thought that he is useless. Furthermore, he found out that some members of the team are not into sports. For example, Chiaki and Momoharu Hanazuno. They are brothers who lost their interest in playing basketball. Chiaki even told Sora to stop playing and forget about his dreams.
But, this didn’t stop Sora from reaching his goal. Instead, he became more determined. He challenged the team to play against him. He showed them his skills and extra ordinary movements. And the team was shocked but at the same time impressed. Also, Sora showed them his skills, effort, and passion for playing basketball. As a result, the team gradually regained their interest in playing basketball. Likewise, Sora gained friends in the team.
Ahiru No Sora Season 2: The Characters

Kuzuryu High is located in Kawasaki Kanagawa District. It has a weak basketball team because stubborn students join the team.
The Players:
Sora Kurumatani– He is the main character of the series with excellent skills in basketball. His catchphrase is “If you make fun of me being small, you’ll have to pay for it.”
Momoharu Hanazono- At first, he is stubborn and not confident about his basketball skills. Likewise, he is arrogant and feels responsible for the basketball court. But it fits his position as the team captain.
Chiaki Hanazono- He is the twin brother of Momoharu, but they have opposite personalities. He shows kindness and care to others but does not care much about basketball. But, he plays basketball in any position.
Kaname Shigeyoshi- He is the tallest player in the team. The technique is more important to him more than physical ability
Kenji Natsume- He is a first-year student who always causes trouble but he is the main scorer for the team.
Yasuhara Shinichi, Masahiro Saki, and Ryuuhei Nabeshima- They are the substitute players. They showcase their own basketball talent in defense or offense.

Is Ahiru No Sora still ongoing?
Ahiro Nu Sora caught the attention of not only anime fans but mostly Basketball enthusiasts. It is a new series since it just premiered late last year. As a manga adaptation, Ahiru No Sora has a total of 50 episodes. And the studio releases each episode every week. Since its release in October 2019, it has already released 45 episodes. That means there are more chapters to cover Ahiru No Sora Season 2. Besides, it can even reach up to season 3 or 4.
However, there is no official announcement yet for the sequel of Ahiru No Sora Season 1.
When is the Release Date of Ahiru No Sora Season 2?
The production of Ahiru No Sora anime series plans to release one season every year.
