Story line: In this animated action comedy, Kyouka is employed at the Armed Detective Agency. However, her passage is unsteady & eventually ends when the challenges become insurmountable. But she has a friend, Atsushi.
Atsushi is always there for her. But when Kyouka’s dormant rings, things will change forever. At the other end of the line is a mysterious voice that orders Demon Snow to attack Atsushi. How will things pan out? Let’s delve into the first 3 seasons to see if we can predict the upcoming 4th season.

Young Atsushi Nakajima is the main protagonist in this series. When the series began, he was being kicked out from an orphanage. At the time, he had no food, and no shelter either. But as he stands by the river bank wondering how his life will play out, he notices a man attempting to commit suicide. Clumsily, Atsushi manages to save the man. This man is Osamu Dazai, who breathes new life into Atsushi’s life.
Later on, audiences discovered what Atsushi did. He would turn into a huge white tiger when he was exposed to moonlight. This, according to some, is in line with American werewolf mysteries. Others may see the resemblances from other Hollywood blockbusters & anime series from Japan.
Atsushi is recruited into the secret agency called the Armed Detective Agency. Osamu Dazai is the man who knows about his extraordinary gift. Dazai & his partner, Kunikida, believe that Atsushi can be an asset for the agency & its missions. The agency is renowned for resolving supernatural crimes which are beyond the purview of ordinary mortals- the police & even the army. Its detectives & agents all possess super powers. They are well equipped to fight the supernatural criminals.
The tussle between the occult agency & the lords of the underworld is highly engaging. It’s the reason people watch Japanese anime in the first place. Fans also praise how the characters evolve through the first 3 seasons. Their development is applauded by critics as well. The characters prove that their actions have consequences. Although there’s redemption at the end of the rainbow, it’s not always easy.
