Loki is clearly the hottest topic in town right now. Low on action, yet stakes, as high as the sky the series has captrured audiences of all ages. With its abrupt ending in July 14,2021 with the Loki episode 6; the series has left more questions than answers; marking the beginning of Marvel universe phase 4. Loki is a lot of things. A god of mischief from Norse mythology, sometimes he acts as a pretender scamming people for self-interest. At other times, however, he acts as detective in his own crime thriller.
With an IMBD rating of 8.6 and 92 percent in rotten tomatoes, Loki is an American television series. It was created by Michael Waldron for streaming purposes in Disney+. It is based on a Marvel comic character of the same name and takes place after the events of Avengers: Endgame(2019). Set in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, the series follows an alternate version of the titular character who has created a new timeline. Loki is produced by Marvel Studios, with Waldron serving as head-writer and Kate Herron directing for the first season. Originally released in June 9, 2021 there is a single season with six episodes to date.
Premise:
After stealing the ‘Tesseract‘ from the Avengers in 2012, an alternate version of Loki opens up another timeline. He is then arrested by the mysterious organization Time Variance Authority (TVA) for messing with the timeline. An organization that exists outside of time and space and monitors the timeline. Loki is given the choice of either being erased from existence due to being a ‘Time Variant‘; or help the organization protect the timeline. While traveling through time and cooking up mischief, Loki becomes trapped in a making of his own.

Loki Episode 6 synopsis:
As seen in the last episode, it ends with Loki and Sylvie successfully enchanting Alioth, the being from the void. The creature shows them the way to a citadel beyond the Void. Loki episode 6, named ‘For All Time. Always‘ starts as B-15 proves to TVA troopers that they are variants by showing them a Renslayer variant who is a school vice-principal.Meanwhile, Loki and Sylvie finds out He Who Remains, the creator of TVA, in the Citadel in the end of time. He tells them about how he used Alioth to destroy alternate timelines to stop the war betweenthe multiverses caused his variants. Then he gives them a choice to either kill him and risk another multiverse war; or replace him in overseeing TVA and a singular timeline, so that he could retire ffrom the duty.
Loki pleads to Sylvie to stop wanting to kill He Who Remains, but she doesn’t stop. They share a kiss in the void as she sends Loki away to the TVA headquarters. Finally killing He Who remains, she unleashes a multiverse with alternate timelines that the TVA can not intervene with. At TVA headquarters, Loki warns Mobius and B-15 about He Who Remains’ variants but they do not recognize Loki. Loki notices that a statue of one of the variants has replaced those of the Time-Keepers.
Production:
A series featuring Hiddleston as Loki was confirmed in November 2018.The filming began in January 2020 in Atlanta, Georgia, but was halted in March 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Production resumed that September and completed in December. The series was originally supposed to have eight episodes with a hefty budget to its name. However, it was cut short due to COVID-19 and later turned into a six episode series later on.
Loki was originally planned as a single season limited series. During production of the first season, however, it was realized that there was a lot more to Loki. Hence the series was decided to be continued.
Can we expect a season 2 after loki episode 6 :
After a massively climatic cliffhanger ending of the Loki episode 6 for the 1st season, should we be expecting a season 2? Marvel has already given us the signal that there is going to be a season 2 through the episode finale. It has only been a few days now, since the 1st season ended. Hence there are no exact release date for a season 2 for Loki that has been given . We can expect a final confirmation for the next season, however, very soon and hopefully it will be aired by 2022. Developments for a second season have been confirmed since Nov 2020.
Expected Release Date: Loki Season 2 will be released on January 25, 2022.
