Five Million Manufacturing Plant
Elon Musk, the CEO of Tesla reveals that Tesla will be building the Five Million Manufacturing Plant of Cybertruck in Austin, Texas. Elon Musk is a billionaire. He is an engineer, technology entrepreneur, industrial designer and a philanthropist.
Recently, Elon has got hold of the 2,100-acre plot of land, which is positioned 12 miles outskirts of Austin. This land will be used for Cybertruck production.
The Texas Comptroller’s office circulates an application describing Tesla’s plans to build a “high-tech Five Million Manufacturing Plant for designing electric vehicle in Travis County.” This would be the home for its next electric vehicle production.
The application signifies that the design and construction of a high tech electric vehicle manufacturing plant would be at the intersection of SH-130 and Harold Green Road in Austin. Hope to complete the construction within 2 to 3 years.
The documents in support declare that Tesla procured the land for $5,298,275. And, most probably will begin the construction from August 2020, provided if everything goes well as per their plans.
Before this fifth manufacturing plant, Tesla already has its Gigafactories in Nevada, New York, Shanghai, and Berlin. This production unit will likely to produce the Tesla Cybertruck, the Model Y crossover. Musk expects the manufacturing of the Cybertruck’s Dual and Tri-Motor variants, by the end of 2021.
Elon says the production unit in Giga Texas would work just like Giga Shanghai. As in Shanghai, Tesla is already manufacturing the Model Y crossover. This strategy will keep the production of Cybertruck in continuous progress.
After all the planning of Musk for building Five Million Manufacturing Plant is showing progress as he wanted until now. The documents specify that Tesla will begin construction most probably from July 2020, and would be producing electric vehicles as soon as possible, latest by end of 2021.
