As the country went into a lockdown officially starting from March 25th, 2020, due to the Covid-19 outbreak. Unfortunately, it was the same time when the board exams were going on. And as a result the exams scheduled later in the timetable had to be postponed. Those exams were scheduled during July 1st to 10th. However, those too, now stand cancelled, considering the increasing number of cases and the displeasure of students and parents regarding exams during these times.
The CISCE has come up with a formula to grade the students in the subjects whose exams are cancelled. This formula is consulted by statisticians across the country. It includes marking on the basis of the exams taken and internal assessment. Also, if a student is not satisfied with their marks, they will have an option to reappear for the exams which will be scheduled later when the situation will be more normal. This applies to both, students of 10th and 12th. The council has also confirmed that there will be no merit list.
