Jim Carrey is confirmed to play the Democratic Presidential candidate; Joe Biden at the Saturday Night Live.
Carrey, 58, a Canadian blockbuster star; is rumored to have approached the team and expressed his gratitude at the opportunity of playing this role. The show has decided to extensively use make up and wigs to make Carrey look twenty years older for the part.

Carrey is popularly known for playing comic characters such as in The Mask and Ace Ventura.
The show has already had three different actors play the character of Joe Biden in its earlier; 45th; season. Woody Harrelson has played Biden three times. John Mulaney also played Biden back in the month of March when he hosted the show.
Brad Pitt was also seen on the show playing the role of Dr. Anthony Fauci; the famous American physician and immunologist.
Alec Baldwin will be seen playing the role of the President Donald Trump at the sketch show; Saturday Night Live, this year. Baldwin has been playing the role of the President even since 2019. Furthermore, Maya Rudolph is believed to play the role of Kamala Harris; Biden’s Democratic vice-presidential nominee.
The Saturday Night live show, revealed the news to the fans on the social media platform Twitter. They used a GIF that featured Carrey in some of his most cherished roles. However, Carrey has not officially confirmed the news yet.

For the new season, which is also the 46th season of Saturday Night Live; Lauren Holt, Punkie Johnson, and Andrew Dismukes have been confirmed as the three new cast members. The show is expected to go on air from Saturday 3 October on NBC, in the US.
