Emmys award is an American annual event for television series and movies. The Los Angeles–based Academy of Television Arts & Sciences (ATAS) had started the Emmys award. The first Emmys award happened in January 25th, 1949. The Emmys 2020, which is the 72nd Emmys award in history. Due to the pandemic, the actors and other stars will appear virtually. The Emmy awards will happen on September 20th, 2020 at 8 p.m. EST. The event will be available on ABC. ABC is known as the American Broadcasting Company. As a result of COVID-19, the red carpet will not be happening. In any award program, the red carpet is a significant part of the show. However, social distancing is the top priority across the globe. Consequently, all the nominees and the presenters will gather virtually, in order to avoid a gathering. Obviously, this year, the audience will not be able to see the beautiful dresses. Jimmy Kimmel the host of Emmys 2020:

ABC late-night host, Jimmy Kimmel will be the host of Emmys 2020. The president of ABC, Karey Burke says “We know Jimmy Kimmel will deliver a uniquely entertaining, funny and moving primetime Emmys show,”. Jimmy Kimmel’s personality is perfect for such an important event. People in and outside the industry admire him to a great extend. Apart from being a television host, he is also a writer, comedian, producer and actor. This man had worked in shows like “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” and “The Man Show”. He is considered as a humorous and optimistic personality in the industry. Lastly, Variety says that he will be hosting the event from Staples Center where there will be no audience.
