The US food giant KFC (Kentucky Fried Chicken) suspended it’s most famous slogan ‘Finger Lickin Good’ in recent time. There are several complains on the popular slogan in ongoing COVID situation. KFC finally decided to drop the slogan.
In this pandemic where people are having difficulties to arrange food for living, the slogan feels quite absurd in such situation. KFC thus dropped the ‘Finger Lickin Slogan’ on last Monday after 64 years of creating the slogan. ‘Finger Lickin Good’ was always popular among the consumers soon after it was created.
And thus in the long 64 years KFC never thought of dropping the slogan until the pandemic came into scene. After hearing a number of complain they have come into a conclusion of dropping the ‘Finger Lickin Good’ slogan. Though KFC assures his consumer they will soon get back with the popular slogan as soon as situation get normalize.

COVID made KFC dropping the decade old tagline. In the mean time they will blur the ‘Finger Lickin Good’ from all it’s banners and buckets.
KFC in the beginning stopped operating all it’s ventures amidst pandemic, very recently they have started operating again. And from the time they are receiving several complains on the tagline.
“We find ourselves in a unique situation—having an iconic slogan that doesn’t quite fit in the current environment,” said Catherine Tan-Gillespie, global chief marketing officer. “While we are pausing the use of ‘It’s Finger Lickin’ Good’, rest assured the food craved by so many people around the world isn’t changing one bit,” she added.
US first food chain says finger-licking “doesn’t feel quite right” and thus they dropped the slogan. KFC is hopeful towards coming back with the slogan real soon with the end of the COVID pandemic.
