Last week the company announced their plans to begin developing “the meat of the future” as they put it. The research lab that specializes combining animal cells through the use of 3D bioprinting. 3D Bioprinting is essentially the same as regular 3-D printing but instead of using plastic uses organic material. In the case of KFC’s plan, the fake chicken nuggets made out of attitude that combines chicken and plant cells. If successful these chicken nuggets would look and taste as close to KFC’s existing product as possible.

What this means is that it that the fake chicken nuggets will be made with minimum use of chickens. It would be impossible out simply because the process requires chicken cells to merge with the plant cells. KFC’s fake chicken nuggets to have some benefits. This means a person can eat a full serving and ingest only half the calories of normal chicken nuggets. KFC plan to test the 3D bioprinting chicken nuggets in their Moscow Russia restaurants by fall 2020.
