The University of Mumbai has invited applications for Mumbai University Admissions 2020 for Undergraduate courses. Recently, the varsity has released the notification on its official web site mu.ac.in. In addition, the notification contains details of the admission procedure in various Under Graduate programs for the academic year 2020-21.

Most importantly, candidates need to fill the Pre-admission Online Form available on the web site of the University of Mumbai, mum.digitaluniversity.ac Moreover, the applications have started today, on July 24, 2020. Applicants can submit their application forms till August 17, 2020. However, this is precisely the date on which the third merit list will be released on the official website of the university.

In addition, the University of Mumbai is a prestigious educational institution and one of the oldest universities. Currently, the University has 56 Departments, 12 specialized centres, 781 affiliated colleges, 2 main campuses, 2 sub-campuses. Points To Be Noted –

  • Moreover, the online portal for pre-admission will be available up to 1:00 PM, till the last date, i.e August 04, 2020.
  • Further, candidates need to submit the admission form along with a copy of Pre-admission form to the particular college either offline or online (as per the guidelines or rules of the college).

List Of Under Graduate (UG) Courses For The Year 2020-21

The University of Mumbai, earlier called as Bombay university, is one of the oldest and recognised universities in India. It was established in 1857. Currently, the university offers the following Under Graduate (UG) courses in different specializations.

  • B.A, B.Sc, B.Com, BMS
  • BSW, B.Li.Sc, BHM, B.Ed
  • B.P.Ed, LLB, BPA, BFA, B. Mus
  • BE, B. Tech, B. Pharm, B. Text

Points To Be Noted –

  • The university admits candidates to all  Under Graduate (UG) courses on the basis of their merit. But, to get admission to B. Sc (Hospitality and Nautical Science), candidates need to clear the separate entrance test which the university conducts.
  • Moreover, the varsity also conducts Drawing test for BFA course.
  • Further, the university also conducts an Entrance test For BMS course.
  • In addition, to get the admission to the BE, B.Tech., B. Pharm, and B. Text programs, candidates need to obtain a minimum valid score in MHT CET. This test is conducted by DTE.

Eligibility Criteria: Mumbai University Admissions 2020

All the interested candidates need to fulfil the eligibility criteria to get admission to different Under Graduate (UG) courses. Hence, are the details of the same:

B.A. (Bachelor of Arts)
  • Firstly, a candidate must have passed (10 +2) or 12th examination from a recognized board or university.
  • And, He or She must have had English as one of the main subjects in class 12th. OR
  • He or She must have had English as one of the main subjects in class 12th, along with vocational subjects.
B.Com. (Bachelor of Commerce)
  • Certainly, a candidate must have passed (10 +2) or 12th examination from a recognized board or university.
  • Further, they must have obtained at least 45% in aggregate in class 12th examinations.
  • In addition to it, the percentage of marks is 40% in case of SC/ ST candidates.
B.Sc. (Bachelor of Science)
  • Certainly, a candidate must have passed (10 +2) or 12th examination from a recognized board or university.
  • They should have studied Physics, Chemistry, and English as one of the main subjects in (10+2).
  • Further, they must have obtained at least 45% in aggregate in class 12th examinations.
  • In addition to it, the percentage of marks is 40% in case of reserved categories.
BMS (Bachelor of Management Studies)
  • Firstly, a candidate must have passed (10 +2) or 12th examination from a recognized board or university.
  • Further, candidates need to pass the entrance test that the university conducts for this course.
BSW (Bachelor of Social Work)
  • Firstly, a candidate must have passed (10 +2) or 12th examination from a recognized board or university. OR
  • He or she should have passed the first year of B.A, B.Sc, or B.Com degree from a recognized university.
BMM (Bachelor of Mass Media)
  • A candidate must have passed (10 +2) or 12th examination from a recognized board or university.
  • Most importantly, it can be any stream.
B. ED (Bachelor of Education)
  • A candidate should be a graduate in any discipline.
B.P. Ed (Bachelor of Physical Education)
  • A candidate should have a bachelor’s degree.
LL.B ( 3 years and 5 years)
  • A candidate should have passed 12th class examination. (3 years) from a recognised board or university.
  • Further, a candidate should obtain at least 45% in bachelor’s degree from a recognised university.
BPA (Bachelor of Performing Arts) And B. Mus (Bachelor of Music)
  • Certainly, a candidate must have passed (10 +2) or 12th examination from a recognized board or university.
