Slowly but steadily India has been improving policy and regulations in various sectors. The education sector is one of them. The National Education Policy 2020 is clear evidence of the new India. On 29th July Wednesday approved the National Education Policy 2020, which declares transformation of the pedagogical structure of the education system by the Union Cabinet.

Reportedly government wants to get success the new National Education Policy 2020. In the addition of NPE 2020, focus on the fact of Universalization of education from the playschool to secondary level along with the 100% Gross Enrollment Ratio (GER) by 2030 in the school education system.  While the government aim almost 50% Gross Enrollment Ratio (GER) by 2025 will happen in the education system.

The chaired of the Union cabinet hold by our own Prime Minister Narendra Modi. He who is approved the of the National Education policy 2020. This policy’s main motives are remodelled and reconstruct in the school and higher education in both sectors. This is the first policy of the twenty-first century after the year1986. This policy took to transformed 34 long years.

The main agenda of this NEP 2020 concrete the pillar of some factors such as Equity, Access, Affordability, Accountability and Quality.  This Policy is line up to the future motive for sustainable development along with the aims of transforming the Indian Educational system by 2030. The National Educational Policy will back almost two crores children into this system. With this policy, a student can get global knowledge. Also, get a flexible and holistic education in both school and colleges. NEP 2020 main aim is universal access in the pre-school level to higher secondary.  It is helping both formal and non-formal education modes. Also, this policy helps the association of counsellors or well-trained social volunteer work with the school.

Early Childhood Care,  Education with new Curricular and Pedagogical Structure include via NEP 2020-

Earlier the children follow the 10+2 structure of school curriculum is now replaced by a 5+3+3+4  curriculum structure along with the ages of 3-8, 8-11, 11-14, and 14-18 years respectively.

This new idea in policy includes the age groups between 3to 6 years under the school curriculum. According to the psychologist, this is the most crucial and important age for the mental development of a child. However, the new policy has to include 12years of schooling with the three years of pre-schooling.

The Delhi based NCERT will bring a National Curricular and Pedagogical Framework for Early Childhood Care and Education (NCPFECCE). This is for the children up to the age of 8 years.

ECCE will bring an expanding system of institutions along with preschool or Anganwadi workers who are trained in ECCE pedagogy and these regulations. In this planning, ECCE pedagogy works with the Women and Child Development (WCD), Health and Family Welfare (HFW), Ministries of HRD and Tribal affairs.

Attaining Foundational Literacy and Numeracy in NEP 2020-

NEP 2020 actually set up the National Mission On Foundation Literacy and Numeracy by MHRD. All the States will arrange a plan and implement that for universal foundational literacy and numeracy in all the school for the learners from class 3 by the year 2025.

 New Teaching method-

there are some changes in hiring the teachers, Such as teachers need four years B-Ed qualification for teaching the children by the year of 2030.  This is the minimum qualification for teaching. Strong action will take for the substandard teachers. A mentoring policy will be established name Nation Mission mentoring. The mentoring committee held by retired faculty and also the senior teachers who are willing to serve for long or short term mentorship.

Scholarships Programs –

National Scholarship portals try to increase the facility. So, several numbers of students can appear and get that. Although private organization HEIs will provide more numbers of free ships or Scholarships to the students.  NEP 2020 introduces some new ideas such as Credit based recognization called MOOCs, online courses, digital repositories, student service, funding for the new project etc.

Uses of Digital medium introduce via NEP 2020 –

earlier after 2016, our government motive is digital India. NEP 2020  dedicate a special unit build the digital infrastructure. This digital process looks after and created by the HRD Minister. The foremost motive is created the digital content, the capacity of building this. This e-education will be introduced for both school and higher education.

Enhancement of Technology in NEP-

NEP 2020 introduces a new way to exchange ideas and enhancing the technology. National Educational and Technological forum will be created a platform where everyone can discuss new ideas, technologies.

Languages  Improvement In NEP 2020-

NEP 2020, recommend setting an Indian Institute of translation and interpretation, National Institute for Sanskrit, Persian, Pali and all other languages which are including in HEIs.

International Facilities-

Internationalization of education will be provided via institutional collaboration and student-faculty mobility.

Increase the Investment –

The central and states will jointly work to increase the public investment to the education sector to reach the GDP 6% earlier. NEP policy reaches to achieve 100 Percentage in youth and adulatory literacy.
