  • Firstly, Assistant Foreman (E&T) (Trainee)
  • Technician Turner (Trainee) Cat. III
  • Technician Machinist (Trainee) Cat. III
  • Assistant Foreman (Mechanical) (Trainee)
  • Technician Fitter (Trainee) Cat. III
  • Technician Electrician  (Trainee) Cat. III
  • Lastly, Technician Welder (Trainee) Cat. II

Further, the assistant foreman positions are Supervisory positions and rest are Technician positions. The total number of vacancies under the NCL Recruitment 2020 are 561. The last date for registration and online application submission is August 25, 2020.

Eligibility Criteria: NCL Recruitment 2020

As per the official notification of the organisation, the interested candidates should fulfil the eligibility requirements for all the posts of the NCL Recruitment 2020. And, the details are as follows:

Educational Qualification

For the post of Assistant Foreman (trainee) (E & T)
  • Class 10th or its equivalent examination passed from a recognized board or educational institution.
  • And, Diploma or bachelor’s degree in Electronics Engineering from a government recognized board or educational institution.
For the post of Assistant Foreman (Mechanical) (trainee)
  • Class 10th or its equivalent examination passed from a recognized board or educational institution.
  • And, Diploma or bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from a government recognized board or educational institution.
For the post of Technician Fitter (Trainee) Cat. III
  • Class 10th or its equivalent examination passed from a recognized board or educational institution.
  • ITI (2 years) in Fitter trade along with Trade certificate issued by recognised government institution i.e NCVT/ SCVT.
  • Further, a minimum of 1 year apprenticeship training certificate issued by NCVT/ SCVT.
For the post of Technician Electrician (Trainee) Cat. III
  • Class 10th or its equivalent examination passed from a recognized board or educational institution.
  • ITI (2 years) in Electrician trade along with Trade certificate issued by recognised government institution i.e NCVT/ SCVT.
  • Further, a minimum of 1 year apprenticeship training certificate issued by NCVT/ SCVT.
For the post of Technician Machinist (Trainee) Cat. III
  • Class 10th or its equivalent examination passed from a recognized board or educational institution.
  • ITI (2 years) in Machinist trade along with Trade certificate issued by recognised government institution i.e NCVT/ SCVT.
  • Further, a minimum of 1 year apprenticeship training certificate issued by NCVT/ SCVT.
For the post of Technician Welder (Trainee) Cat. II
  • Class 10th or its equivalent examination passed from a recognized board or educational institution.
  • ITI (2 years) in Welder trade along with Trade certificate issued by recognised government institution i.e NCVT/ SCVT.
  • Further, a minimum of 1 year apprenticeship training certificate issued by NCVT/ SCVT.
For the post of Technician Turner (Trainee) Cat. III
  • Class 10th or its equivalent examination passed from a recognized board or educational institution.
  • ITI (2 years) in Turner trade along with Trade certificate issued by recognised government institution i.e NCVT/ SCVT.
  • Further, a minimum of 1 year apprenticeship training certificate issued by NCVT/ SCVT.

Age Limit

The candidate should be of 18 years as on August 25, 2020. And, the maximum age limit is 30 years. However, there is age relaxation to the reserved categories. Hence, are the following details:

  • Scheduled Caste (SC) –  5 years
  • Scheduled Tribe (ST) –  5 years
  • Other Backward Classes (OBC)  (NCL) –  3 years
  • Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD) and also (UR) – 10 years
  • OBC ( NCL) And PwBD – 13 years
  • SC or ST and PwBD – 15 years
  • Ex-serviceman (ESM) –  3 years

NOTE – There is no age relaxation to UR or EWS candidates.

Application Fee

All the interested candidates should pay the online application fee. And, the details are as follows:

  • For UR/ OBC/ EWS candidates – Rs. 500/-
  • SC/ ST/ PwBD/ ESM candidates – No application fee

NOTE 1– Candidates can pay the application fee through online mode of the transaction only. Further, the organisation will not refund the fee once paid.

NOTE 2 – Candidates will bear the tax or bank charges.

Selection Procedure

The organisation will conduct a written test examination. NCL will select the candidates who obtain the cut-off scores or above in the written test. Further, their original documents will be verified. The organisation will update the date, time, and venue for verification. After that, the organisation will issue a provisional offer of appointment to the successful candidates.

NOTE – If the organisation finds out that the candidate does not match the eligibility criteria at any point of time during the selection procedure, then, his or her candidature will be cancelled.

Exam Pattern: NCL Recruitment 2020

The written test will be of 100 marks. Duration of the test will be 90 minutes. Further are the following details:

  • The test will have two parts; Part A (70 marks) and Part B (30 marks).
  • Part A will contain questions of Technical section.
  • Moreover, Part B will contain questions of General intelligence, mental ability, aptitude.
  • Further, the type of questions will be MCQs form.
  • And, there will be no negative marking.
  • The booklet will be available in both English and Hindi language.
  • Cut – off marks –  UR/ EWS (50 marks) and SC/ST/OBC/ESM/ PwBD (40 marks)
