You want to kick away your weekday’s stress and just relax? Well, Netflix has the perfect Rom-Com for you, Love Guaranteed. It’s a fun and fast watch to fix your mood.
Love, Guaranteed the new movie could be a chance for the popular cinema to gain ground with Rachel Leigh. She made her breakthrough in 1999 with the movie She’s All That. After that, she was seen in unconventional films and some not so good Hollywood works like getting Carter and Josie and the Pussycats. But recently, she has self-produced and starred in a couple of Hallmark movies, which looks to have inspired this Netflix venture. For better or worse is up to you.
‘LOVE, GUARANTEED’: Yay or Nay?
The Gist: Susan (Cook) is an excellent lawyer who is a workaholic. After a previous heartbreak, she has sworn off men and now is running her one-woman law firm. Her life is full of taking out Chinese containers and lonely nights.
One day. Nick (Damon Wayans Jr.) enters her life in need of a lawyer. He says he needs to sue an online dating site called Love Guaranteed. You may wonder why? Well because he’s has gone on 1,000 dates through the service and yet hasn’t found his one true love. The site assured that you will meet your love in 1,000 dates or you can get a lawyer to sue them for six-figure settlements. Susan obviously thinks he is nuts and is reluctant to take the case. But Susan company’s going bankrupt and he writes a check that makes Susan change her mind. And obviously Susan’s outrageous employees, Denise and Roberto celebrate by making her profile on the site so she herself experiences the site for, “ research!”
After two disastrous dates and an absentee, Susan might just trust Nick’s case. Hilariously he has kept all sorts of evidence of his dates, which he names in FRIENDS Style like “The One Who Ate Paper.” After this, they go to meet up with the top executive at Love Guaranteed, which was played by Heather Graham. Meanwhile, Susan soon grasps that Nick is not the opportunist she thought him to be and, oh, he might just be a gentleman and well kind of sort of cute, which may just complicate everything.
So if you want to catch the undeniable chemistry of Susan and Nick, watch Love Guaranteed.
