We congratulate the people of the entire country today, as PM inaugurates Asia’s largest solar plant in MP’s Rewa on July 10. India is moving to a more sustainable and energy efficient practices under the vision of our PM.
The inauguration via video conference
PM Modi, inaugurated 750 MW solar project, at MP’S Rewa on Friday. The project is Asia’s largest plant, comprising of three solar generating units of 250 MW each. It is located on a 500-hectare plot of land situated inside a solar park.
The inauguration was done via video conference, wherein he congratulated the people of MP and further talked about how this is a major medium of energy not just today but also in the 21st century. He added that the solar energy is sure, pure and secure.
Madhya Pradesh’s governor Anandiben Patel, Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan, Union Minister of New and Renewable energy R.K Singh and Oil Minister Dharmendra Pradhan were a part of the virtual inauguration.
The 750 MW Ultra mega solar plant is expected to reduce the emission equivalent to approximately 15 lakh tonne of carbon dioxide every year.
He also talked about how Rewa had written its narrative today. Modi also said that Rewa was identified with the name of mother Narmada and the White. And now, the name Asia’s largest solar system has also added to its identification.
Moving towards sustainable India
RUMSL selected Mahindra Renewables Pvt Ltd, ACME Jaipur solar power Pvt Ltd and Arinsun Clean Energy Pvt Ltd through a reverse auction to develop the three solar generating units. The financial assistance that has been provided to RUMSL for the development of the park is 138 crore.
