Pocophones have become immensely popular since its inception in August 2018. The Xiaomi led smartphone brand is often coming out with new features to keep their customers hooked. And now, Pocophones will be coming with MIUI update in India. It will be Poco X2 first Pocophone to get MIUI 12 update in India.
Developed by the Chinese brand Xiaomi, Pocophones was first launched in India in August 2018. The first-ever model of Pocophone to exist was Pocophone F1 (or, Xiaomi Poco F1, in India), with MIUI 11. Although the device is available all over the world, it enjoys the most popular in India.
MIUI 12 is a modified version of Android OS with numerous other customizations, that is based on the Android operating system for Mi and Redmi phones. MIUI 12 will introduce many new features in the Pocophones. One of them will be Dark Mode 2.0. It also comes with Dynamic Always-on-Display, with over 1000+ custom animated styles. AI calling and Navigation gestures are other noteworthy additions.
Xiaomi first announced the probable launch of MIUI 12 in late April. It was all set to be launched in June but got delayed due to some reason.
With Xiaomi rolling out the new MIUI 12, the new phones being released by Xiaomi and Redmi are sure to accompany the same. However, in India, Poco X2 will be the first Pocophone to get MIUI 12 update. The MIUI update for Poco X2 will have the build number V22.214.171.124.QGHINXM and might weigh around 813 MB in size. Some Mi users shared this news on Twitter. By going by the replies they received, we can tell that only a handful of users have received the update so far. The company might soon make the same available for everyone if this testing group does not seem to have any problems with it.
Since Poco X2 getting MIUI 12 is quite clear, there are many speculations that other Pocophones might also get the update.
