RRB NTPC EXAM 2020 UPDATES
Indian Railways will conduct the hiring exam RRB NTPC exams 2020 in keeping in mind the fact of following social distancing rules. The railway is in the search of choosing an external exam holding agency or firm for conducting pending exams which were already notified in 2019. Over 1.5 crores of candidates are in the process of registration for these exams.
While in September 2019, the railways release a statement that due to a large number of applicants it is trying to plan to hire an exam conducting agency to conduct computer-based tests. And all recruitment regarding processes like analysing of results and creating a list of the panel will also be seen by the same conducting firm.
Earlier, Railway Recruitment Boards or the RRBs were responsible for conducting the railway exams. But afterwards, the bidding process was put on hold because of the worldwide pandemic. The recent update regarding the exams is that a pre-bid meeting is going to be held on June 29 at Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) Ajmer.
“About the altered scenario because of COVID-19, the exams will probably conduct in keeping in mind the stipulated guidelines related to COVID-19. These guidelines include steps like social distancing, sanitisation of centres, biometric/ frisking etc”. this was the statement which railways state in the official notification. The bidders can submit their queries by June 24.
It is also decided to conduct the pre-bid meeting online via video conferencing. The external organisation requires to have robust technical, operational, logistic and manpower support for conducting big exams like RRB NTPC Exams 2020.
These exams have a huge number of candidates and multiple levels of tests. The railway desires to set a control room not only at Railway Board but also at 21 RRB offices with dashboards for real-time monitoring and assessing of examinations.
What are RRB NTPC exams 2020?
Railway Recruitment Boards (RRBs) announces RRB NTPC exam 2020 notification under Centralised Employment notice. The exam also helps in the selection process of applicants for Non-Technical Popular Categories (NTPC) graduate and undergraduate posts in various Zonal Railways and Production Units of Indian Railways.

Exam pattern
Applicants need to undergo the following stages of the selection process for RRB NTPC Exam 2020.
1st stage

- Computer-based test (CBT)
- Time duration: 90 minutes
- Total number questions: 100
- Nature of questions: MCQ
- Subjects: General Awareness, Mathematics, General Intelligence and reasoning
- Total marks: 100
- Negative marking exists
2nd stage

- Computer-based test (CBT)
- Time duration: 90 minutes
- Total number questions: 120
- Subjects: General Awareness, Mathematics, General Intelligence and reasoning
- Negative marking exists
CBAT
-
- Includes six test batteries
- There exists no negative marking.
TYPING SKILL TEST

- Applicants are required to write 30 words in English as well as 25 words in Hindi for the exam in a minute.
- Its is also a CBT mode test.
RRB NTPC 2020 Vacancies
Recently, RRBs has revised the vacancies of RRB NTPC exam 2020. Now, a sum of only 35,208 vacancies will be filled via this exam. Before, the vacancies for RRB NTPC 2020 Exam were 35,277. The vacancies were renewed since the vacancies for DLW under RRB Allahabad were removed. Therefore, the overall vacancies are experiencing decreases from 4099 to 4030.
Exam Syllabus
- Standard of questions is also stated in RRB NTPC syllabus is of Class 10, 12 and graduation levels.
- The mathematics section includes questions from Number System, Decimals, Fractions, LCM, HCF, Ratio and Proportions, Percentage, Mensuration, Time and Work, Time and Distance, etc.
- General Intelligence and Reasoning section will comprise questions from Analogies, Completion of Number and Alphabetical Series, Coding and Decoding, Mathematical Operations, Similarities and Differences, Relationships, Analytical Reasoning, Syllogism, Data Sufficiency, etc.
- General Awareness questions will have questions from the current events occurring in and around the world.
RRB NTPC 2020 Exam Day Guidelines
- Often applicants accompany themselves with an electronic device while appearing for the exams. In such cases, allowance for electronic gadgets like mobile phones, blue tooth, pen drive, laptops, calculators, wristwatches, etc inside the exam centre is restricted.
- Pen, pencil, wallet/purses, belts, shoes, and ornaments, etc. are also not allowed inside the exam hall.
- Candidates need to bring RRB NTPC to admit card 2020 while appearing for the exam.
- Applicants also need to carry photo-identity proof like Voter Card, Aadhaar Card, printout of e-Aadhaar, Driving License, PAN card, Passport, Identity Card issued by the employer, College / University Photo ID card.
- Aspirants must also bring one colour photograph.
- Candidates require to reach the exam centre an hour before the start of the exam.
