Star Wars-themed popular video game Star Wars Battlefront II is now available for free on Xbox. As a part of its ‘Free Play Days’, Xbox is letting its Gold members play the game for free. The developers released the video game back in 2017, and it is still garnering a lot of positive reviews.
About Star Wars Battlefront II
EA Dice developed this action shooting video game back in 2017 as a sequel to the 2015 game. It is the seventh instalment of the Battlefront series, second to the reboot launched in 2017.
The game facilitates both single-player and multiplayer game modes. It has two main categories for game play: ground battles and space battles. Both of these categories are set in three eras.
- The first one is the Clone War. It features battles between the Galactic Republic and Confederacy of Independent Systems.
- The second era is the Galactic War. The galactic war features battles between the Rebel Alliance and the Galactic Empire.
- The last era features battles between Resistance and the Last Order.
The free offer
Xbox Live Gold and Xbox Live Ultimate Players can play the game for free this weekend. The other games that are available for free play this weekend are Rainbow Six Siege and Outward. The Star Wars game and Outward are free from August 27 to August 30. However, Rainbox Six Siege will be free for an extended period, until September 3rd. The Xbox Live Gold membership can be installed via the Microsoft store.
There are also certain discounts if you want to go on playing the game even after the free period is over. The standard version of the Battlefront game is now available for $9.99. But the celebration version is still selling for $39.99.
The free offer is sure to attract many players and will eventually spark up the sales of the games.
