Telegram rolls out one-one video calls for Android and iOS

Great news for all Telegram users of there. Other reason to join Telegram for more users. Telegram has now rolled out and update in which one-one video calling is possible. The new feature was announced by the company on 14th August. It was announced on the occasion of their 7th anniversary.

This new feature has been rolled out in both Android and iOS devices. The main purpose of adding this new feature is face to face communication. The feature is available in alpha version and only beta users are able to use this feature as of now. The company has claimed that this feature will be available for all users soon.

New Feature of Telegram

Telegram has also claimed that the company will add the group video calling soon to their app. The one-one video calling feature given by Telegram is totally end-end encrypted. App users can start a video call by clicking on the call button on the contact’s profile page. To confirm end-to-end encryption, users can check if the four emojis visible on-screen for them and their chat partner’s match. If yes, the call is fully secured, according to Telegram.

Along with video calling feature, it has also added emojis to its in app keyboard. A larger animated version of the emoji will appear when used in a chat. As we are getting more features in all the apps, its becoming an headache to the users to have each and every app or not.

The company said that their Android and iOS apps have reproducible builds. Anyone could verify encryption and confirm that Telegram uses the same open source code that is published with each update. Besides group video calls that are expected to be rolled out soon, company also said that there would be more features and improvements in future versions of the app.
