Many of us are blessed with oily skin. The complications of having an oily skin make most of the people embarrassing.  In summer oily skins needs more attention. Oil and sweat can be a harmful combination for your skin, which leads to blackheads, acne and skin problems. Here are some tips to keep your oily skin healthy during summer. Be hydrated 

If your skin is not getting the sufficient amount of water, the lack of hydration will present itself by turning your skin dry, tight and flaky. Water helps your skin maintain moisture, which increases your elasticity. If you want to keep your skin fresh and healthy drink lots of water in a day. Drink at least 8 glass of water in a day. 

Use facewash 

Face washes help to remove the dirt, oil and pollutants that water alone can leave behind. It thoroughly cleanses, and leaving only soothed and hydrated skin. Chemical free face washes keep sensitive skin safe from any damage and deterioration. Washing the face with soap or a wash may remove dirt, but it is important to use a scrub to deeply clean the skin. Scrubbing removes excess oil present in the skin.  

Home remedies 

You can also adopt some home remedies for facial cleansing. These tips are very useful. You can apply Aloe Vera gel; it absorbs excess oil and dirt from skin. It has great property of hydrating the skin. 

You can make home scrub from honey and sugar. This homemade scrub helps to clean oil from your skin naturally. 

Healthy diet 

Try to eat those vegetables and fruit which are full of vitamins and mineralsVitamin A helps to reduce oil from skin. Carrots, sweet potatoes, winter squash, cantaloupe, apricots, spinach, kale, and collard greens are great source of vitamin A.


Blotting papers 

Blotting papers absorb all the excess oil from your skin. Try always keep them handy all through the summer season whether you’re going to be indoors or outdoors. This way you’re ensuring that you get rid of excess oil build-up from your skin. 

 Sunscreen 

Applying sunscreen can help you to protect your skin from the sun and effects of UV light which is very bad for oily skin. Try a water-based sunscreen with at least SPF 30++, as it helps your face to keep oil free and gives the protection you need. 

Avoid the sun 

In outdoors sun can increases the oil secretion and makes you sweatier and exposing you to the harmful effects of UV rays. So, it is best to avoid the sun, particularly during afternoon. If you can’t stay indoors during these peak hours, make sure to cover your head and wear sunglasses.
