About Wafia :

Wafia Al-Rikabi is an Australian singer-songwriter of Iraqi-Syrian origin. And to escape the monotony of studying biomedicine she started writing songs.

Wafia

Wafia’s new Single, no doubt, is inspired from her toxic relationship and a hard breakup she had to face. As she herself disclosed in the Press Release of her new EP, “Good Things”. Even though “Good Things” is a deliberate result of her being relieved from a toxic relationship, it is definitely inspired from self discovery, and the people that were present for her. Her friends were there for her when she was having a hard time.

She was compelled to be more creative amidst this worldwide crisis of Covid-19. As a result she came up with some great singles like Hurricane and Pick Me.

How Wafia was successful in making another great EP :

“Good Things” is essentially Wafia showing appreciation for her friends, as she thinks the breakup to be a wakeup call for her. She thought it’s time she appreciated the people around her, who helped her during the multiple breakups she experienced with the same person. Wafia added that this album was not just about the breakup, but also about the time in this relationship. And, how hard it had been for her.

How Wafia inspires us :

Wafia is a role model for people who are going through or haven’t been able to properly cope with hard breakups. Or even, the people who are currently in difficult relationships. They, should take help from friends, and start talking to people rather than letting the toxic relationship eat them up from inside. The way Wafia inspires people to turn their life around, rather than making it a sob story, is commendable. Her strong will power to do something and the support from her friends helped her get past the worst.

People should not be given reason to feel sorry for you, or feel pity for you. Being strong is what Wafia inspires everybody to be.
