WBJEE 2020 Online Counselling Schedule Released; Registration starts tomorrow

WBJEE( West Bengal Joint Entrance Exam) is a state-level exam. West Bengal Joint Entrance Exam Board( WBJEEB) conducts the exam. The exam is a gateway for admissions in B.Tech and B.Pharm courses. February 2, 2020, was the date of WBJEE 2020. The results of WBJEE 2020 came on August 7. A total of 73119 candidates appeared for WBJEE 2020. Out of the 72298 ranked.  The exam conducts once a year via offline mode. Exam’s duration is 2 hours 30 minutes. It’s eligibility criteria is that candidates must successfully apply for JEE. Candidates failing the criteria are not allowed for the exam.

About WBJEE 2020 Counselling :

WBJEEB will start WBJEE counselling from August 12. There will be a total 3 rounds of counselling. Registration for round 1 WBJEE 2020 counselling will start from August 12 on the official website. The counselling process will be online. Candidates must apply online for taking part. There are 33,011 seats in 116 colleges across the state through WBJEE counselling.

How to Register for Counselling?

Visit wbjeeb.nic.in to apply for WBJEE 2020 counselling. Then candidates have to fill choices pf college and course and upload scanned documents. The authorities will conduct 3 rounds with fresh registration for every round. Allotment of seats is done as per merit, preferences and availability of seats. separate round will conduct for JEE Main candidates.

WBJEE 2020 Various Eligibility Criteria

Nationality:  Candidate must be a citizen of India.

Age Limit: The lower age limit is 17 years as on December 31, 2020. There is no upper age limit. For Marine Engineering, the upper age limit is 25 years.

Qualifications: For engineering, candidates must pass 12th with Physics and Chemistry. For pharmacy, candidates must pass o appearing 12th with Physics, Chemistry.

Minimum Qualifying Marks: Candidates must obtain 45% marks in 3 compulsory subjects for WBJEE Counselling. For SC/ST/OBC candidates qualifying marks is 40%. Candidates must pass English with at least 30% marks. Candidates with irregular class mode open schooling etc. are not eligible for admissions.

 2nd step- Login by entering your application number and password.

3rd step- Result and rank card will get displayed on the screen.

4th step- Download the rank card and take a print out.
