Former president has a tradition, of sharing Barack Obama’s summer playlist. And each year he surprises his fan with his choice in music. He continued this tradition on Monday by revealing his ‘Summer Playlist 2020’. As usual the list featured a range of genres and artists. It was a fusion of new and old, hip-hop and jazz. The list even included some contemporary artists that you wouldn’t think would be on Barack Obama’s summer playlist.
Oh it also includes some country and rock. I personally like country songs, they are so groovy. Let’s take a look at the artists who made it to Barack Obama’s summer Playlist this year. It includes Maggie Rogers, Otis Redding, Outkast, Sheryl Crow, Bob Dylan, Nina Simone and Frank Ocean, among others.
Eilish, Leon Bridges, The Chicks, Common and Jennifer Hudson. All who made Obama’s summer playlist, are supposed to perform at this week’s nominating convention where Obama’s former Vice President Joe Biden is set to be named the Democratic nominee.
Interestingly Beyoncé also made it to the list. But it is not that surprising because she performed at Obama’s inauguration. Her song ‘Already’ was on the list. It is a part of her new visual album ‘Black is king’.

The former president announced his ‘summer Playlist on twitter. “Over the past few months, I’ve spent a lot of time listening to music with my family,” he wrote. “I wanted to share some of my favorites for the summer.” Barack’s Obama’s playlist also included some throwback songs like ‘Could You Be Loved’ by Bob Marley and The Wailers, Stevie Wonder’s ‘Do I Do’, Billie Holiday’s ‘I’ll Be Seeing You’ and ‘Nick of Time’ by Bonnie Raitt.
