A battle between defending Heavy weight interim champion and former heavy weight world champion. Dillian Whyte Vs Alexander Povetkin was a flawless Heavy weight boxing Match.  With Whyte’s WBC interim title and WBC Diamond belt on the line, the fight just got more interesting.  Before this Alexander had only lost to Wladimir Klitschko and Anthony Joshua, it seems Whyte had a tough fight.  After a long time Dillian put his status as No 1 WBC Champion at risk. But guess what, the risk was more than he could handle. Unfortunately for Dylan it didn’t pay off.  Dillian Whyte Vs Alexander Povetkin was a much awaited and anticipated fight.  And it seems the wait was worth it for the audience not Whyte though. Whyte lost his WBC Interim Champion title to Alexander.  Povetkin scored a brutal comeback at Matchroom Fights Camp and won the title of WBC heavy weight Interim Champion.

In the starting there were some close rounds but then Whyte stepped up his game. In round 4 Whyte scored a fabulous knockdown. Audience were in Awe, their hearts thumping in their chests. It seemed Whyte might actually win. But then Povetkin made his comeback with an amazing left upper cut to the chin and whoosh it was all over in 30 seconds. The long awaited fight Dylan Whyte Vs Alexander Povetkin had reached a conclusion with Povetkin coming out as the Champion.

But What is this Diamond Belt? What does it actually mean

It is trinket given in a honorary fight between two high profile fighters. The WBC created this new championship belt in 2009.  Ultimately WBC diamond belt is just glamorous title with little meaning what so ever. The only one legitimate title that matters in heavyweight in the world is currently held by Furry.

Dillian Whyte Vs Alexander Povetkin had an intriguing clause of a Rematch. The promoter of Matchroom Boxing Eddie had pointed that the men had a rematch clause. And he plans to get them together again very soon.

“We have a rematch clause,” Hearn said.
“The first thing Dillian said was, ‘Give me that rematch. Give me that rematch.’ It was a heavy knockout, so he’ll have to recover. We will execute that rematch clause.
