Have you watched the latest season of “Dancing with the Stars?” I hope the answer is yes! Something is missing, right? Oh, I know its Len Goodman! Yes, folks if you see the new season you will know that Derek Hough has taken Len Goodman’s place in the judge’s seat.
ABC had announced earlier this month that Derek the former DWTS Ballroom Dance Pro and World of Dance judge will join the duo, Carrie and Bruno, as a new Judge on the show. Well, it isn’t like Derek has never been a part of this show. After all the dancer/ Actor/ choreographer has competed on the show. But fun fact is he had won “Dancing with the starts” a whopping 6 times. For his work on Dancing with the Stars, Hough was nominated nine times for the Primetime Emmy Awards for Outstanding Choreography. And he had won the Emmy twice. And now Derek would be on the same show which launched his career but in a different capacity. He will be on the opposite of the stage.

But Where is Len Goodman?
Although we are excited to see Derek Hough on the show, where is our favorite Judge Len Goodman? Fans are wondering why is he not in the new season. Why is Derek judging instead of Len Goodman? Well simply because Len couldn’t come from the U.K because of this Pandemic.
Len Goodman has been on “Dancing with the Stars” for all its seasons except only One since it started back in 2005. But due to this ongoing pandemic we will not be seeing Len in the new season. Though the network has assured the fans in a statement that while Len Goodman would not be able to judge the show Live, we will be seeing him in some way or the other. That’s such a relief our favorite judge will be a part of this show in some form or the other.
Likewise, since Bruno will be L.A filming “Dancing with the stars” he would not be judging “Strictly Dancing” in the U.K. As it is highly impractical and unsafe to travel in this situation especially for Len and Bruno who are 64 and 76. Both have the highest risk of contracting the virus.
But you can expect Len to pop and say Hello or give his feedback and entertain us from time to time. Through Zoom only but at least we will get to see him.
